Peruvian ministers to defend 2027 fiscal budgets before Congress

Peruvian ministers for Labor, Environment, and Foreign Affairs are scheduled to defend their respective 2027 fiscal budgets before Congress this Monday. The presentations are part of a legislative schedule aimed at securing approval for the Budget Law before the end of the year.

Minister of Labor Juan Sheput will address resource allocation, including previous discussions regarding a potential increase in the minimum wage to S/ 1,300. Minister of Environment Vladimiro Huaroc faces questions regarding regional management, illegal mining, and forest protection. Meanwhile, Foreign Affairs Minister Carlos Espá will present the budget for diplomatic missions, including embassies and consulates abroad.
