Peruvian universities strengthen ties with Google for Education

Peruvian higher education institutions are advancing digital transformation through strategic partnerships with Google for Education.

Universidad César Vallejo (UCV) has been designated as a ‘Gemini for Education Reference University’ by Google, making it the first university in Peru and one of the few globally to receive this distinction. The recognition highlights UCV’s integration of advanced artificial intelligence, specifically the Gemini model, into its teaching, learning, and research processes to foster personalized and inclusive educational experiences.

Similarly, Universidad Señor de Sipán (USS) is expanding its alliance with Google for Education to integrate new technological tools into academic and administrative processes. A USS delegation recently participated in the ‘Leader Series 2026 – Higher Education, Latin America’ at Google’s offices in São Paulo, Brazil. The collaboration focuses on training faculty, staff, and students in the use of Google’s ecosystem, including Gemini for Education and technologies from Google DeepMind, to enhance collaborative work and teaching methodologies.
