PES Women holds Southern Europe Regional Meeting in Greece

The PES Women Southern Europe Regional Meeting took place at the Hellenic Parliament, bringing together representatives from the European socialist and progressive family. The event featured PASOK – Movement for Change President Nikos Androulakis and Party Secretary Giannis Vardakastanis.

Key discussions focused on three primary themes: gender-based and domestic violence, unpaid labor and the care economy, and the enhancement of women's participation in politics and decision-making processes. Participants included PES Women President Zita Gurmai, Coordinator Ana Pirtskhalava, and various regional representatives from Cyprus and Portugal, aiming to exchange best practices and address common challenges faced by women across European nations.
