Pesaro dedicates skating rink to pioneer Enzo Boiani

The ice‑skating rink on Viale Trieste in Pesaro has been renamed in honor of Enzo Boiani, who founded the facility in 1962 and became a leading figure in Italian roller skating and hockey. The dedication ceremony was attended by Mayor Andrea Biancani, Sports Assessor Mila Della Dora, Economic Activities Assessor Mattia Galeazzi, Councilor Tomas Nobili and members of the Boiani family, including brother Vittorio.

Boiani began hand‑crafting roller skates after World War II, achieving technical quality that quickly gained national and international market share. His innovations helped athletes win numerous titles and positioned Pesaro as a world‑recognised centre for skating and roller‑hockey. The naming aims to preserve his legacy and educate young users of the rink about his contributions to the sport and local industry.
