Pesaro: Two minors rob and assault 89-year-old woman
An 89-year-old woman was robbed and assaulted in Pesaro, Italy, by two minors aged 10 and 13. The incident occurred near her residence on Viale Gorizia when the youths approached her, asking, “Where is the sea?”, before forcibly taking her gold necklace.
The victim sustained injuries to her torso and arms during the struggle and was subsequently hospitalized for treatment. Following the attack, the two minors attempted to flee toward the seafront, but police intercepted them near a restaurant. The stolen jewelry was recovered in full and returned to the victim.
As the suspects are minors, they are not formally indictable but will be reported to judicial authorities. Investigations suggest the youths, who are unaccompanied minors without local family, may have traveled from a nomadic camp in Bologna. They have been placed in a community facility within the province.
