Pescara and Maratea unveil new art exhibitions in August 2026

The city of Pescara will host a solo painting exhibition by contemporary artist Mirta Maranca titled “Quel che gli occhi non vedono” at the Aurum – La Fabbrica delle Idee cultural centre. The show runs from 7 to 14 August 2026 and is backed by the municipal government, inviting visitors to look beyond first impressions of the works.

In the historic centre of Maratea, sculptor Francesco Sisinni opens the exhibition “Tra Mito e Materia” on 2 August 2026, running through 30 September. The display, created from locally sourced wood, explores the dialogue between material, myth and contemporary form and is open nightly from 19:00 to 23:00, with daytime visits by appointment.
