Pescara approves 75,000 euro project for new fish market auction room

The Pescara municipal government has approved an executive project worth 75,000 euros to facilitate the operation of a new wholesale fish market auction room on the south pier. The project includes essential preparatory works to improve safety and functionality, such as the construction of a new washable industrial concrete yard, access ramps, and reinforced concrete foundations for refrigerated modules.

Additional planned improvements include the installation of a 120-meter fence, automatic entry barriers, new electrical systems, and a rainwater collection network. Councilor for Productive Activities Gianni Santilli stated that these concrete measures are necessary to replace obsolete structures and provide definitive solutions for the fishing sector, rather than relying on temporary modernizations of existing facilities.
