Pescara approves waste tax increases of up to 30%

The Pescara City Council has ratified increases to the TARI waste tax, with some citizens facing hikes of up to 30%, amounting to an additional 30 to 150 euros per bill.

Domenico Pettinari, president of the Movimento Politico Pettinari per l’Abruzzo, criticized the decision, stating that the administration is increasing costs for families and businesses without providing improved waste collection services. The budget variation includes an increase of 1,577,433 euros to be transferred to Ambiente S.p.A. for waste collection, along with an additional 379,845 euros as a collection surcharge for Adriatica Risorse S.p.A.
