Pescara City Council approves budget variation amid political disputes

The Pescara City Council has approved a budget variation exceeding 5 million euros, which includes a controversial 300,000 euro allocation for events. This decision sparked a political dispute between Democratic Party councilor Marco Presutti and Events Councilor Alfredo Cremonese. Presutti challenged the urgency of the allocation, arguing that the council's competence was bypassed and that the necessity for an emergency variation was not properly documented.

Separately, opposition members and parliamentary representatives are calling for a rigorous verification regarding the communication of a Court of Auditors deliberation. The dispute centers on whether the council, the mayor, and the revision body were officially and directly notified of the ruling, or if the publication on the official notice board was sufficient.
