Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani confirmed the club’s interest in signing Emanuele Cicerelli, the 1994‑born attacking midfielder currently on Catania’s roster. Cicerelli earned about €200,000 a year last season, where he scored six goals in 20 appearances and still has one year left on his contract.
The main obstacle is the player’s salary and a transfer fee that Catania deems high. Sebastiani suggested Pescara could spread the payment over several years to meet the demand. Agent Luigi Matrecano echoed the cost concerns but said a club like Pescara, which has a history of building strong squads, could afford the deal.
The move is part of Pescara’s broader market activity, which also includes potential targets such as striker Russo and forward Giacomo Parigi, pending the club’s financial situation after recent player sales.
