Pescara officials prepare for upcoming school year

Pescara officials met to coordinate the upcoming school year, focusing on school environments, cafeterias, specialist assistance, and building maintenance. The meeting included Mayor Carlo Masci and various municipal directors to prepare for the start of classes between September 11 and 14.

Key updates include the scheduled start of catering services, with meals beginning on September 14 for nurseries and September 21 for comprehensive schools. Maintenance work is ongoing, and all local comprehensive institutes have applied for ministry funds to install air conditioning. Additionally, a new tender worth over 6 million euros has been announced for specialist assistance to meet rising costs and demand.

Regarding infrastructure, construction continues on the new Mazzini school, while the new Michetti school on via del Circuito is expected to open after the Christmas holidays, meaning classes will temporarily begin at Villa Fabio.
