Pescara opens third 24-hour waste disposal station
Pescara has launched its third 24-hour eco-piazzola, a waste disposal station managed by Ambiente SpA. Located in the parking area on via Bologna at the corner of via Paolucci, the facility is designed to complement the existing door-to-door collection service.
The station is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to domestic and non-domestic users who possess an Ambiente SpA Eco-card. It allows for the disposal of various waste types, including paper, cardboard, plastic, metal, glass, organic matter, residual waste, bulky items, and WEEE (waste electrical and electronic equipment). The site also features an automatic bag dispenser for organic, plastic, and unsorted waste.
Local officials stated that the facility aims to reduce illegal dumping on sidewalks and in street bins, particularly benefiting commercial activities and residents with non-standard working hours. This new site joins two existing stations located in via Pasolini and via Pepe.
