Pescara to host musical tribute for DJ Marco La Sorda

The city of Pescara will host a musical tribute to honor the memory of Marco La Sorda, a prominent figure in the Abruzzo nightlife and DJ scene, who passed away on August 1, 2025, at the age of 51.

The event is scheduled for Wednesday, August 19, starting at 20:00 in Piazza della Rinascita. Organized by the municipality alongside friends and colleagues, the free public event will feature performances by over 20 DJs, the bands Secondo Senso and Scena Muta, and Vincenzo Olivieri. The evening will also be broadcast live on Rete8.

In addition to the commemoration, the event serves a charitable purpose. A fundraiser will be held to benefit the Oncology department of the Pescara hospital. Donations can be made to the Pescara Municipality Treasury using the reference ‘Un dono in ricordo di Marco’. A dedicated website, marcolasorda.it, has been established to collect photographs, messages, and musical contributions for the DJ.
