Pescina and San Benedetto dei Marsi launch joint cultural heritage project
Pescina and San Benedetto dei Marsi are launching a joint cultural initiative titled ‘Marruvium & Pescina – Two paths, an intertwining of stories’. Part of the 12th edition of the International Literary Parks Days, the project runs from October 17 to November 2.
The itinerary, which has gained national attention in the newspaper Repubblica, connects the birthplace of writer Ignazio Silone in Pescina with the archaeological remains of the ancient city of Marruvium in San Benedetto dei Marsi. The project aims to promote the territory's historical, archaeological, and literary heritage through a shared narrative.
Developed through collaboration between local municipal administrations, community associations, and national entities, the initiative seeks to strengthen ties between the two communities by highlighting their shared social and cultural roots.
