Peñíscola to host cinematic tourism event in October
Peñíscola will host a cinematic experiential tourism event from October 8 to 12. The initiative allows visitors to participate in live recreations of film sets, acting as characters in environments inspired by major audiovisual productions previously filmed in the city.
Participants will work alongside a film director and technical crew in various locations, including Plaza de Bous, the Sea Museum, Plaza Santa María, and Playa Sur. The themed recreations will include pirate atmospheres, heroic fantasies, and medieval historical settings, drawing inspiration from productions such as ‘Game of Thrones’, ‘El Cid’, and ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’.
Ramón Simó, the Councilor for Tourism, noted that the activity is a consolidated event that allows people to imagine how the city appeared during the historical film shoots that have established Peñíscola as a ‘city of cinema’.
