The town of Peñíscola, Spain, will stage the 23rd International Jazz Festival from July 2 to July 5, 2026. Eight concerts will be split between the Palau de Congressos and free performances in the historic Plaza de Santa María. Headliners include Dominican pianist Michel Camilo, Italian trumpeter Franco Baggiani, and the International Classic Jazz All Stars, alongside local talent such as Albert Bello, Sergio Bisbal and Ernie Orts.
From July 6 to July 18, the XXIX International Classical Theatre Festival will take place in the Castle of Peñíscola’s Patio de Armas and other venues. The programme features eight productions ranging from Greek tragedy to contemporary reinterpretations of works by Lope de Vega, Shakespeare, Lorca and others. Highlights include the co‑production “Jasón y las furias”, a modern take on the myth, and the youth‑focused “Taller Pepe Monleón” journalism workshop.
