Pesquería authorities investigate possible feminicide of 21-year-old woman

Authorities in Pesquería, Nuevo León, are investigating the death of 21-year-old Celeste Abigail, who was found dead inside her home in the Lomas del Mirador neighborhood. The victim's husband, 22-year-old Francisco Alejandro “N”, has been detained in connection with the incident.

Preliminary reports suggest the death may be a feminicide. One line of investigation indicates a dispute occurred after the husband discovered messages on his wife's phone, which allegedly escalated into physical aggression and strangulation. Another report mentions the possibility of a sharp weapon being used, though initial inspections showed no visible external injuries.

During the police intervention, Francisco Alejandro “N” reportedly resisted arrest and allegedly attacked a municipal police officer. He was initially held for resisting authority while the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Feminicides and Crimes Against Women conducts a formal investigation to determine the exact cause of death and establish legal responsibility.
