Pestana Hotel Group opens new eco-resort in Porto Santo

Pestana Hotel Group has officially inaugurated Pestana Dunas, a new beach eco-resort on the island of Porto Santo. This expansion brings the group's total room count on the island to 550.

The new facility is designed with a focus on sustainability, environmental efficiency, and the preservation of Porto Santo's natural heritage. The first phase of the project includes 218 rooms, with plans for an additional 130 rooms to follow.

During the inauguration ceremony, Pestana Hotel Group administrator Paulo Prada noted that a second, already licensed phase of the development will proceed once air connectivity to the island increases. The group aims to mirror the growth and consolidation seen at Funchal airport to drive job creation and sustainable development for the island.
