Pet adoption initiatives report success in Ecuador and the United States

Animal welfare organizations in Ecuador and the United States are reporting successful results from recent pet adoption initiatives.

In Ecuador, Mundo Mágico de la Mascota has facilitated the adoption of 219 pets so far in 2026 through nationwide adoption days. The company collaborates with various foundations and animal protection groups to provide opportunities for vulnerable animals to find homes. The process involves a formal application, identification, and an interview to ensure effective placement.

In the United States, the organization Best Friends hosted ‘Adventure Buddies Day’ in Los Angeles. During the event, more than 400 dogs were taken out of kennels for activities such as trips to the beach and walks to reduce stress and showcase their personalities. The initiative resulted in 25 dogs being adopted and 14 finding foster homes.
