A recent Polish survey of dog owners shows a shift toward viewing pets as long‑term dependents. Over 94% consider dog ownership a lifelong commitment, and 93% feel a moral duty to ensure wellbeing. Owners increasingly use preventive measures such as regular vaccinations, parasite control, balanced diets and routine veterinary visits, and they rely heavily on veterinary advice for health decisions.
