Pet Fox announces fourth album ‘Balance’ for October release

Boston-based indie-rock trio Pet Fox has announced their fourth studio album, titled ‘Balance’, scheduled for release on October 23 via Exploding In Sound Records. The announcement includes the release of the title track, “Balance”, which explores the tension between impulsive action and paralyzing indecision driven by anxiety and frustration.

According to vocalist and guitarist Theo Hartlett, the album examines themes of personal growth, boundaries, friendship, and the balance between self-care and external expectations. The record was recorded over seven days at Drop of Sun Studios in Asheville, North Carolina, marking the band’s first fully studio-produced project.

The band worked with producer Alex Farrar, who has previously worked with artists such as Wednesday and MJ Lenderman. Much of the album was tracked live to maintain the group's instinctive chemistry, featuring members Theo Hartlett, bassist Morgan Luzzi, and drummer Jesse Weiss.
