Pet industry professionals meet in São Paulo to discuss market growth
Industry professionals gathered in São Paulo during the Pet South America 2026 event to discuss the expansion and professionalization of the Brazilian pet market.
The Pet Food Institute (PFI) held a meeting with PetBR to present initiatives focused on animal nutrition, food safety, and animal welfare. Daniel Nat-Davies, PFI Vice President of Business Operations & Programs, discussed technical information and communication strategies aimed at bridging the gap between the industry, animal health professionals, and pet owners.
In a separate session at the PET Creche Summit, organized by the Brazilian Association of Canine Daycares (ABCC), legal expert Claudia Plaster Petris addressed the growing need for legal security in the pet hospitality sector. The presentation emphasized crisis management and the importance of proper documentation, such as anamnesis forms and well-drafted contracts, to protect businesses operating in the expanding dog daycare and hotel market.
