Pet industry summit in Venezuela projects 34% market growth

The PET Summit Venezuela 2026 was inaugurated at the Eurobuilding Hotel in Caracas with the Visión PET 360° Industry Forum. Experts discussed the economic reality and significant growth projections for the Venezuelan pet sector.

Organizer Alexander Teles reported that the market, which previously stood at approximately $80 million, is projected to reach $430 million, representing a growth of more than 34%. This expansion is driven by pets becoming integral members of Venezuelan families.

Economist Asdrúbal Oliveros noted that Venezuela is following a global trend where pet spending is increasing significantly. The industry is diversifying beyond food and medicine to include specialized services such as physical trainers, therapists, themed celebrations, and funeral services.
