Peta el Pod 2026 awards recognize Catalan podcasting talent

The 2026 Peta el Pod awards, organized by Òmnium Cultural in Sant Cugat del Vallès, recognized excellence in Catalan-language podcasting and audiovisual creation. The event saw a 40% increase in submissions compared to the previous year.

In the audience award category, a technical tie resulted in two winners: the communication and oratory podcast ‘Parles o Comuniques?’, created by Xènia Castelltort and Olga Jiménez, and the Mallorcan project ‘Prova de so’. Castelltort used the recognition to advocate for Catalan as a natural language for creative expression.

Other winners included Diana Kerbelis’s ‘Carro de Contes’ in the audio category, and ‘Un gotet de llet i a dormir’ by Ricard Fernández and Miguel González in the video category. The awards highlighted the growing vitality and diversity of Catalan-language digital content.
