Petacciato hosts book presentation by Don Mario Colavita

Don Mario Colavita will present his latest essay, “I magi e la luce della stella – racconti apocrifi, storie e leggende,” at the Church of San Rocco in Petacciato on October 30, 2026. The book provides an interdisciplinary exploration of the Magi, blending theology, liturgy, history, and popular traditions to reconstruct their historical and spiritual evolution.

The event serves as a significant farewell to the local community, as Colavita concludes nine years of pastoral service in Petacciato before officially assuming leadership of the Gesù Crocifisso parish in Termoli. The presentation will include institutional greetings and contributions from religious scholars, including Don Giuseppe De Virgilio and Mons. Antonio Sabetta, alongside Mons. Claudio Palumbo, the Bishop of Termoli-Larino.
