Petar Bogojeski criticizes proposal for Albanian language use in judiciary

Petar Bogojeski has issued a sharp reaction to a proposal by Justice Minister Jeton Shasivari regarding the development of jurisprudence exams in the Albanian language.

Bogojeski claims that within ten years, ethnic Albanian judges and prosecutors will preside over cases involving ethnic Macedonians using interpreters due to a lack of Macedonian language proficiency. He argues that this shift could lead North Macedonia toward cantonization or federalization, warning that ethnic-based divisions could eventually spread to education, healthcare, and public administration.

Bogojeski maintains that while Albanian is an indisputable language in the country, it should not function as a systemic parallel institutional language, and he asserts that ethnic Albanians in North Macedonia should learn the Macedonian language.
