Petar Klovar wins fourth consecutive freediving world title
Croatian freediver Petar Klovar has secured his fourth consecutive world title at the World Apnea Championships in Limassol, Cyprus. Competing in the Constant Weight No Fins (CNF) discipline, Klovar reached a depth of 96 meters.
In the CNF discipline, divers descend and ascend using only their own strength, without fins or pulling on a rope, making it one of the most physically and technically demanding categories. Klovar's performance earned him the gold medal, surpassing his rival Alexey Molchanov, who took silver with a depth of 93 meters.
Another Croatian athlete, Vitomir Maričić, finished in fifth place, a notable achievement given he did not participate in the official preparations leading up to the championships.
