Petar Ratkov nears Sevilla move after rejecting Crvena zvezda

Serbian striker Petar Ratkov is reportedly close to joining Sevilla in Spain after rejecting several other transfer offers. The 23-year-old, currently with Lazio, has turned down interest from Crvena zvezda, Dynamo Moscow, and Southampton.

Lazio is looking to move the player as he is not part of manager Gennaro Gattuso's immediate plans. The potential deal between Lazio and Sevilla is expected to take the form of a loan with an option to buy. Ratkov joined Lazio from Salzburg in January for approximately 13 million euros but struggled to secure a significant role, making only eight appearances in Serie A without scoring.

Ratkov has indicated a preference for playing in stronger European leagues rather than returning to the Serbian SuperLiga. A move to La Liga would represent a significant step in his career development.
