Pete Alonso and Corbin Carroll named MLB Players of the Week

Pete Alonso of the Baltimore Orioles and Corbin Carroll of the Arizona Diamondbacks have been named the Major League Baseball Players of the Week for the American and National Leagues, respectively.

Alonso, playing in his first season with Baltimore, recorded a .545 batting average with 12 hits in 22 at-bats over a six-game stretch. His performance included two home runs, five RBIs, and a .1493 OPS. During this period, he also took on a new role as a leadoff hitter.

Carroll earned the National League distinction after batting .409 with nine hits in 22 at-bats. His week included two home runs, three doubles, two triples, and one stolen base. Carroll currently leads the Major Leagues with 15 triples.
