Pete Alonso hits two home runs in Orioles' 10-5 win over Rangers

Pete Alonso recorded his first multi-home run game with the Baltimore Orioles, driving in four runs to lead the team to a 10-5 victory over the Texas Rangers on August 9, 2026.

The win ended a scoring slump for Baltimore, who had scored only three runs during a three-game losing streak prior to the matchup. Alonso hit two-run home runs in both the second and fourth innings. Other home runs for the Orioles were provided by Colton Cowser and Tyler O’Neill. Yaramil Hiraldo earned his first major league win after pitching two scoreless innings of relief.

With the win, the Orioles improved to a 57-61 record, remaining two games out in the American League wild-card race. The loss snapped a four-game winning streak for the Rangers, who hold a 59-59 record.
