Former U.S. Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg has signaled a growing interest in a potential 2028 presidential run. During a recent interview on the podcast ‘The Diary of a CEO’, Buttigieg stated he is ‘more inclined than not’ to seek the presidency, though he has not officially declared a candidacy. He noted that any such decision would involve considerations as both a politician and a father.

In addition to his comments regarding the 2028 election, Buttigieg has issued a formal endorsement for Dr. Annie Andrews in her bid for the U.S. Senate in South Carolina. Andrews, a pediatrician and former congressional candidate, is running to replace the late Senator Lindsey Graham. Buttigieg praised Andrews for her focus on affordable healthcare, public school investment, and economic stability.
