Pete Davidson honors his father, a fallen firefighter, on 9/11 anniversary

Comedian and actor Pete Davidson is reflecting on the 25th anniversary of the September 11 attacks, a tragedy that claimed the life of his father, New York City firefighter Scott Davidson.

Davidson, who was seven years old at the time, shared that becoming a father himself has changed his perspective on the anniversary. He named his daughter, Scottie, after her late grandfather. He expressed the personal difficulty of reaching the same age his father was when he died and noted the challenge of eventually explaining the loss to his daughter.

To honor his father's memory and the spirit of unity following the attacks, Davidson joined the 9/11 Day ‘UNIITE For Good’ campaign. The initiative encourages people to perform acts of kindness and support local charities to turn grief into positive community action.
