Pete Edochie honoured by Ghana’s Legacy Project

Nigerian veteran actor Pete Edochie has been named the first non-Ghanaian honouree of the Legacy Project, an initiative by King-Dawie Publishing. The project, which previously focused on Ghanaian creative arts figures, has expanded into a Pan-African chapter, with Edochie receiving the honour at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City in Accra.

During his visit to Ghana, Edochie also met with Sammy Gyamfi, CEO of the Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod), to discuss the launch of the African Legacy Project. This broader initiative includes a book, a documentary film, and an African Youth Mentorship Initiative aimed at reaching approximately 500,000 young people across the continent. GoldBod expressed interest in supporting the mentorship program, noting its alignment with the board’s focus on social impact and economic empowerment.
