Pete Edochie visits Ghana for legacy project and tributes

Veteran Nollywood actor Pete Edochie recently completed a nine-day tour of Ghana, centered around the launch of the Pete Edochie Legacy Project. The initiative, themed ‘Celebrating the Africa Legend: The Lion That Needs Not to Roar,’ aims to honor his contributions to African cinema and preserve his life story for younger generations.

During his visit, the 79-year-old actor was moved to tears by tributes from students at Knutsford University, who performed poetry and recitations celebrating his career. Edochie, known for his role in the television adaptation of ‘Things Fall Apart,’ also used the trip to reflect on his friendship with the late former Ghanaian President Jerry John Rawlings. Describing the late leader as a brother, Edochie expressed his intention to visit Rawlings’ grave to pay his respects.
