Pete Hegseth accused of concealing Iranian strikes on U.S. logistics hub

Reports indicate that U.S. Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth withheld information regarding the destruction of a primary U.S. logistics hub in the Middle East by Iran. This destruction has reportedly caused severe supply shortages for the crew of the USS Abraham Lincoln, which has been deployed since November in support of military operations against Iran.

Crew members on the USS Abraham Lincoln have faced deteriorating conditions, including shortages of food, water, hygiene products, and essential supplies, alongside issues with plumbing and facilities. While President Donald Trump has downplayed complaints regarding the crew's conditions, the acting Navy Secretary announced that the vessel will soon return home as part of a scheduled rotation.

The USS George Washington carrier strike group has arrived in the Arabian Sea to replace the Abraham Lincoln. U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) stated this is a scheduled deployment, occurring amidst ongoing hostilities following the termination of a ceasefire in July.
