Peter Berg’s ‘The Mosquito Bowl’ set for October theatrical release

Director Peter Berg has announced the release dates for his World War II drama, ‘The Mosquito Bowl’. The film is scheduled to arrive in select AMC theatres on October 30, followed by a Netflix premiere on November 25.

Based on the New York Times bestseller by Pulitzer Prize winner Buzz Bissinger, the story follows four American college football stars who enlist in the Marines after the attack on Pearl Harbor. The narrative centers on a legendary football game played by these athletes prior to the invasion of Okinawa.

The film features an ensemble cast including Nicholas Galitzine, Bill Skarsgård, Ray Nicholson, and Tom Francis. The screenplay was co-written by Berg and Mark L. Smith. Production is handled through Berg’s Film 44 banner alongside Imagine Entertainment.
