Peter Claffey reportedly cast as Beast in Marvel Studios X-Men reboot

Irish actor Peter Claffey has reportedly been cast as Hank McCoy, also known as Beast, in the upcoming Marvel Studios X-Men reboot. According to reports from Knight Edge Media, Claffey, known for his role as Ser Duncan the Tall in HBO’s ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’, was selected after Charles Melton reportedly stepped away from negotiations to pursue a role in the live-action ‘Naruto’ adaptation.

While Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed the casting, the reported ensemble for the film includes Christopher Abbott as Professor Charles Xavier, Sadie Sink as Jean Grey, Kit Connor as Cyclops, Samara Weaving as Emma Frost, Inde Navarrette as Rogue, Asa Germann as Angel, Maya Boyd as Storm, and Adam Driver as the villain Mister Sinister.

Directed by Jake Schreier, production for the film is expected to begin in the United Kingdom in early 2027, with a theatrical release scheduled for May 5, 2028.
