Peter Collier missing for 15 years, family seeks leads during Missing Persons Week
Peter Collier, now 95, was last seen on 7 June 2009 at a toilet block on Laidlaw Street in Yass, New South Wales. He was 78 at the time and lived a transient lifestyle across remote areas of NSW and Victoria. After years of no contact, he was reported missing on 31 October 2024.
Police and Collier’s family have renewed appeals for information as part of this year’s “Answers Still Matter” campaign during Missing Persons Week (2‑8 August). He is described as a Caucasian male, 175 cm tall, thin build, with grey hair and blue eyes. His sister, Violet Carrapetta, and Detective Inspector Paul Fenwick of the Missing Persons Registry are urging anyone who may have seen him, even briefly, to come forward to help bring closure to the family.
