Peter Gabriel Releases New Song “One by One” from Album o/i
Peter Gabriel has issued “One by One,” the eighth advance track from his forthcoming album o/i. The nearly ten‑minute piece arrives as part of Gabriel’s lunar‑calendar rollout, where a new song is released on each full moon. Two versions are planned – a Bright‑Side mix released now and a later Dark‑Side mix.
The track follows the narrative of the recurring character Mozo, who is portrayed as broken and reassembled piece by piece. Gabriel likens the theme to the Japanese art of kintsugi, where broken pottery is repaired with gold, symbolising resilience. The single’s cover art, titled “Pieces,” was created by Canadian sculptor David Altmejd.
Gabriel announced the song alongside commentary on its length, storyline, and artwork, continuing a series of previews that have been issued throughout 2026.
