Peter Giesel's TV production team targeted by thieves in Nice

The production team of the Kabel Eins television program ‘Achtung Abzocke - Urlaubsbetrügern auf der Spur’ has fallen victim to theft in France. While reporter Peter Giesel was filming in Cannes, thieves broke into the team’s rental car in a monitored parking garage in Nice.

The stolen items include MacBooks, iPads, AirPods, and critical hard drives containing recent footage and host segments from the show. Despite the use of a monitored facility, the theft occurred, and the team is scheduled to continue filming in Canada following the incident.
