Peter Hatton appointed General Manager of Quintero Energía

Quintero Energía, a Chilean power generation company, has appointed Peter Hatton as its new General Manager. Hatton officially assumed the role on September 1.

With nearly 30 years of experience in the energy industry, Hatton previously served as CEO of AWESCo. His professional background includes leadership roles at Cramsa, Inkia Energy Chile, and GDF Suez, as well as positions at Endesa, SWC, and serving as a director for WEC.

Quintero Energía owns Central Ventanas, located in Puchuncaví, Valparaíso Region. The facility operates the Ventanas 3 and Ventanas 4 units, which have a combined installed capacity of 537 MW. The company stated that Hatton’s expertise will be vital as the firm undergoes a transformation to strengthen its contribution to the national electrical system and manage assets amidst Chile’s energy transition and the increasing integration of renewable sources.
