Peter Šloser releases new detective novel Paragraf 144

Author and former police officer Peter Šloser has released his ninth detective novel, titled ‘Paragraf 144’. The story centers on three distinct murders—a mayor from Bojnice, a drug dealer, and a well-known usurer with criminal connections—that eventually reveal interconnected motives.

Drawing on his professional background in the National Criminal Agency (NAKA), Šloser explores themes of organized crime, the role of police informants, and the limitations of technical surveillance. The narrative also examines corruption within police elites and the influence of criminal bosses and oligarchs on political structures.
