Peter and Jessica O'Mahony defend pricey Søw‑Sé garden brand

Retired rugby star Peter O'Mahony and his wife Jessica O'Mahony have responded to online criticism of the high price tags for their new Scandinavian‑style home and garden brand, Søw‑Sé. The range includes hand‑built steel hexagonal planters priced from €325 to €1,395, as well as tote bags, bath salts, hand balm and a €42 room spray.

The couple said the products are manufactured in Kildare, Ireland, emphasizing local craftsmanship: “They’re hand‑built in Kildare… you’re investing in something for your garden that will last a long, long time.” They acknowledge the stress of launching a business but note that positive feedback outweighs the negative comments.

Peter added that critics “are never going to get up and start a business – yet they’ll always be the first ones to chirp in,” while Jessica said they have become “a little bit numb” to the backlash.
