Peter Schrager to host new ESPN afternoon show ‘Big Day’

ESPN has announced that Peter Schrager will host a new afternoon program titled ‘Big Day with Peter Schrager’. The show is scheduled to debut on September 10, occupying the 2:00 p.m. ET timeslot previously held by SportsCenter.

During the college football season, the program will air Monday through Thursday. Following the conclusion of the college football season, the show will expand its schedule to include Fridays. On Fridays during the college football season, the 2:00 p.m. slot will instead feature ‘Bussin’ & Pate on Campus’.

Based in ESPN’s New York studios, the show is described as a conversational program rather than a debate-style show. While Schrager has a background in NFL coverage, the new program is intended to cover all sports. Expected regular guests include various personalities from ESPN and the NFL Network.
