Peter Sellis appointed as new Head of Product at X

Peter Sellis has been named the new Head of Product at X, succeeding Nikita Bier. Sellis brings extensive experience in consumer technology, having previously held leadership roles at Microsoft AI, Snap, Discord, and Ustream. During his tenure at Snap, he was instrumental in building monetization systems that grew into a business valued at over $4 billion.

In his new role, Sellis aims to accelerate the platform's momentum for users and businesses globally by focusing on making the product “beautiful and useful.”

Nikita Bier is stepping down from the leadership position. While Bier announced his departure, he intends to remain with the company as an advisor for a period. Bier noted that the platform has seen significant growth in user engagement and App Store rankings during his tenure, having overseen the reconstruction of various features including the Android app, notifications, and chat functions.
