Peter Siddle appointed New South Wales bowling coach

Former Australian fast bowler Peter Siddle has been appointed as the bowling coach for New South Wales for the 2026-27 domestic season. Siddle, 41, will join the coaching staff led by Brad Haddin to mentor the pace group during Sheffield Shield matches.

While taking on this new role, Siddle will maintain his association with the Melbourne Stars in the Big Bash League. The coaching setup will also include Johan Botha, who joins as a temporary spin consultant.

Head coach Brad Haddin noted that the appointments of Siddle and Botha demonstrate a commitment to high-quality leadership. Siddle will work with a pace group that includes players such as Liam Hatcher, Ryan Hadley, Jack Edwards, Sean Abbott, and Ben Dwarshuis.
