Peter Slyško leaves Hlas-SD to partner with Tomáš Taraba
Peter Slyško has officially resigned from the Hlas-SD parliamentary club and the party itself, including his position as regional chairman. Slyško announced his decision to collaborate closely with former Minister of the Environment Tomáš Taraba.
This political shift reduces the governing coalition's strength to 76 MPs, a narrow majority. Taraba stated that while he and Slyško intend to support good legislation and engage in constructive debate, their level of cooperation with the government will depend on how the coalition manages communication and avoids personal insults. Taraba emphasized that his goal is to promote an agenda of state downsizing and that he does not intend to destabilize the government.
