Peterborough A47 slip roads to close for Great Eastern Run

The A47 slip roads at Junction 19 of the Fulbridge Interchange in Peterborough will close this Sunday, October 11, to accommodate the Great Eastern Run half marathon.

National Highways has issued a temporary order to shut both eastbound and westbound entry and exit slip roads between approximately 5am and 4pm to ensure participant safety.

Drivers exiting the A47 eastbound at Junction 19 will be diverted via Junction 20, using the A15 Paston Parkway and local roads. Westbound traffic exiting at Junction 19 will be diverted via Junction 18 using the A15 Bourges Boulevard. Motorists attempting to join the A47 at Junction 19 will be rerouted through Junction 18 for eastbound travel and Junction 20 for westbound travel. Diversion routes will be marked by traffic signs, though emergency services and traffic officers are exempt from the restrictions.
