Astuto wins Caribbean Invitational as Summer Starlet secures Breeders’ Cup spot

In recent horse racing developments, the horse Astuto secured a victory in the 21st edition of the Caribbean Invitational (GI) at La Rinconada. Winning by a nose in a photo finish against Forrest Gump, Astuto earned a spot for the upcoming competition in Puerto Rico this December.

In the United States, Summer Starlet maintained an undefeated record after winning the $300,000 Spinaway Stakes at Saratoga. The two-year-old filly, trained by Steven Asmussen, has officially secured a position in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies at Keeneland.

Additionally, Puerto Rican jockey José Ortiz achieved a significant performance at Kentucky Downs, recording four victories out of twelve mounts. His wins included successes with Majik Mooney, Emblaze, Red Square, and Possiblemente, the latter of which earned a spot in the Breeders’ Cup Turf.
