Petilia Policastro celebrates Holy Thorn Sanctuary festival

The Sanctuary of the Holy Thorn in Petilia Policastro is hosting its central festival celebrations from August 21 to 23. The event commemorates the arrival of the Holy Thorn relic to the town on August 22, 1523.

Scheduled activities include Holy Masses presided over by Monsignor Giuseppe Caiazzo, religious processions, and musical performances. The three-day event combines spiritual devotion with community entertainment, including theatrical representations and concerts, serving as a significant pilgrimage site within the Crotone territory.
